Looks like Tavi is a no go, but Snafu's suggestion of Sauerland looks to be a gem of a map.

Remember that the server in the link is heavily modded, but the clip gives an idea of the sheer size of the map, of course we are looking to add some mods similar to our current Chernarus server'

We've set up test servers this weekend and flying around this map takes ages, don't fancy walking every where  :confused2:

Just thinking Lingor Island may be a good one aswell. Not sure if there is an Epoch version though.

Spent today making an admin base and now starting to add refueling stations around the map, off to the pub now so testing to be done tomorrow  :glasses2:

Hey Guys

Snafu, Maineroad & Myself  :3some: have been working hard :icon_scratch: on creating a new & exciting map for our DayZ server.
 :laughing4:    :laughing4:               :sleepy2:
The map we have decided to invest our time in is called Sauerland this map boasts a 625 sq km. About 3 time the size of Chernarus. To compensate for the size of the map I have increased the AI 3 fold. this makes Cities a VERY dangerous place to be BUT exciting too.

Anyway guys im sure you will have fun once we make the server live.

Along with the new map, we also have a new & larger server box for our Dayz servers to call home. This will mean BOTH the current dayz server & the new DayZ server will have a new IP. So watch this post for updates as they come!!! :happy1:

UPDATE
New server boxes are killing us (well Snafu & Zoolz, I'm merely listening to them on TS LOL ) Just can't get 'em to work, Looks like we'll have to hand over to a higher power (Samps  :angel7: ) to try and get it sorted. So cross your fingers, toes and whatever else you have multiple parts of, and maybe we'll be operational soon

My map edit was coming along nicely, all was working well on my test server when they were uploaded as a  3d edit.Tried a 2d edit and some of the buildings don't appear on the test server (uploading in 2d format should reduce any lag on the server) Continuing to try and fix but some times this game just makes you want to throw your PC out the window (Snaf & Zool will concur with this)
